What is pupil premium funding?

Schools receive funding to tackle inequality and underachievement for ‘disadvantaged pupils.’

The key determining factor to this allocation is via Free School Meals eligibility. However it has been extended to pupils whose parents are service personnel, pupils in the care of the local authority or those who have been adopted from the care of the local authority.

School compares progress, attainment, behaviour and attendance of this group of pupils against other pupils in school and against similar pupils and others nationally.

This helps us to determine how well we are doing, what is working and next steps.
